In a significant move within the MLB front office landscape, the Philadelphia Phillies have promoted Preston Mattingly to the role of General Manager. Preston Mattingly, the son of former MLB All-Star and manager Don Mattingly, has been with the Phillies organization since September 2021. Initially serving as the Director of Player Development, he quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to Assistant General Manager of Player Development in November.
