In a championship game that was all but over by halftime, the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t just dominate on the field – they also trolled the Washington Commanders relentlessly on social media after the 55-23 trouncing that sent them to the Super Bowl.
The Eagles racked up 459 total yards and forced four Washington turnovers en route to tying an NFL playoff record with seven rushing touchdowns. Star running back Saquon Barkley led the way with 118 yards and three scores on the ground as Philly punched its ticket to a league-best fifth Super Bowl appearance.

While the game itself was a laugher, the Eagles’ social media team provided plenty of entertainment value afterwards by hilariously roasting their division rival. It started with a not-so-subtle jab referencing Philly “taking command” of the NFC:

Philly posted photos showing how that prank had backfired on them, just like it did previously for Vikings and 49ers fans:

As if that weren’t enough, the Eagles broke out an edited SpongeBob SquarePants clip showing Squidward grabbing the George Halas trophy from a claw machine. The “W” was used twice in the caption, mocking Washington’s two losses to Philly this season:

Commanders’ Catastrophic Collapse
The thorough thrashing capped a disastrous end to the Commanders’ once-promising season. After a 6-3 start, Washington completely unraveled down the stretch, losing six of its last eight games amid locker room turmoil and Ron Rivera’s job security coming into question. Quarterback Kirk Cousins was erratic in the biggest game of his career, tossing two interceptions and losing a fumble.
