Burrow’s Incredible Knee-Down TD Toss Stuns Browns

In a stunning display of athleticism and quick thinking, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow delivered a touchdown pass to wide receiver Tee Higgins while already down on his knees against the Cleveland Browns. The incredible play came in the first quarter and gave the Bengals an early 7-0 lead in the Battle of Ohio rivalry matchup.

Burrow’s Gravity-Defying Touchdown Toss

As the pocket collapsed around him on a 2nd and goal from the 5-yard line, Burrow stumbled forward attempting to evade the pass rush. With his knees hitting the turf, it appeared the play was dead. But in a flash of brilliance, the third-year signal caller fired a dart to Higgins breaking towards the back of the end zone.

The stadium erupted as Higgins secured the catch and got both feet down for the score. Even the officials were amazed, but confirmed the touchdown stood since Burrow had not been touched by a defender before releasing the pass. In 133 career touchdown passes, it was the first Burrow had ever thrown from his knees.

An Unbelievable Start for the Bengals

The touchdown capped an eventful opening two drives for both teams. After a 66-yard run by Browns RB Jerome Ford to open the game, Bengals safety Vonn Bell knocked the ball loose from D’Onte Foreman at the goal line to prevent a score. Burrow and the offense capitalized, with Joe Cool making more history on his 4,000th passing yard of the season.
