Week 11 of the college football season brought more than just big wins and stunning upsets – it also delivered a fresh batch of top-tier trolling from victorious programs across the nation. Leading the charge was none other than the No. 2 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, who not only shut out the Purdue Boilermakers in a dominant 45-0 win but also took to social media to rub salt in the wound.
The Buckeye Trolling Train Keeps Rolling
After improving to 8-1 on the season, Ohio State’s official athletics account posted a graphic mocking Purdue’s iconic Boilermaker mascot. The image depicted a train, presumably representing the Buckeyes’ unstoppable offense, with the caption “Choo Choo 🚂 #GoBucks”.
The trolling post was a clear reference to Ohio State’s commanding performance, led by quarterback Will Howard’s three touchdown passes and one rushing score. Freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith also etched his name in the record books, breaking the school’s freshman touchdown record with a 17-yard score in the first half.
Mockery Across the Map
But the Buckeyes weren’t the only ones dishing out the disrespect. Down in Atlanta, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets pulled off their second upset of the season, stunning the previously undefeated No. 4 Miami Hurricanes 28-23.
After the game, Georgia Tech’s social media team twisted the knife, posting a final score graphic with the caption “U better believe it!” – a clear shot at Miami’s “U gotta believe” slogan.

Flight Canceled for Warhawks
Not to be outdone, the Texas State Bobcats got in on the action after trouncing the UL Monroe Warhawks 38-17. Led by backup QB Brad Jackson’s 126 rushing yards and two touchdowns, the Bobcats jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and never looked back.
Texas State’s Twitter account added insult to injury with a post-game graphic captioned “Flight has been canceled,” poking fun at the Warhawks’ avian mascot.
The Art of the Troll
In the high-stakes world of college football, where every win matters and rivalries run deep, programs are always looking for ways to gain a psychological edge. And in the age of social media, that often means taking the celebration (and the mockery) online.
From Ohio State’s “Choo Choo” to Georgia Tech’s “U better believe it,” Week 11 provided a master class in the art of the post-game troll. As the season enters its final stretch, fans can expect even more creative jabs and meme-worthy moments as teams battle for conference titles and playoff spots.
So while the scoreboard may tell the story of who won on the field, it’s the social media feeds that often reveal the true victors in the never-ending quest for college football supremacy. As the old saying goes, “talk trash and cash checks” – and in Week 11, several programs did just that.
